Every factual claim on this site should be traceable to a source you can check yourself.

• Rules and regulation are sourced to the Medical Board of Australia, AHPRA, the Therapeutic Goods Administration, or state health complaints bodies, and linked directly.
• Medicare figures are sourced to the Medicare Benefits Schedule, quoting the item number, the description and the scheduled fee, with the date the fee was last indexed.
• Cost figures are taken from prices Australian providers publish on their own websites, or from health fund published claims data. For each figure we record the source, the URL, whether the figure is a surgeon’s fee only or an all-inclusive total, and the date we checked it.
• We do not publish estimated or modelled prices presented as market figures. If we cannot source a number, we say so rather than filling the gap.

Where a range is genuinely uncertain or a data source does not exist, we state that plainly. There is no independent Australian survey of cosmetic surgery prices; we say so rather than implying our compilation is one.

Our clinical content is not currently reviewed by an individual registered medical practitioner. We are stating this plainly rather than implying a level of oversight that does not exist.

What this content is: an accurate compilation of Australian regulatory requirements, published pricing and generally accepted procedural information, drawn from the primary sources cited on each page.

What it is not: medical advice, a clinical opinion, or an assessment of your suitability for any procedure. Only a registered practitioner who has examined you can provide that.

Where a page has been reviewed by a named registered practitioner, that reviewer, their AHPRA registration number and the review date appear at the top of the page. If you do not see that, the page has not been individually reviewed.

Our guides are researched and drafted with AI assistance and edited by a human before publication. Sources are verified against the primary document. We disclose this because we would rather you knew than guessed.

Nothing is published on the basis of an AI system’s unverified recall. Every regulatory statement and every dollar figure is checked against the source document it cites at the time of publication.

• Cost pages: reviewed every six months, and whenever MBS fees are indexed (1 July annually).
• Regulatory pages: reviewed every six months, and whenever AHPRA or the Medical Board updates the relevant guideline.
• All other pages: reviewed at least annually.

Each page carries the date it was last reviewed. If a date looks stale to you, tell us.

If we publish something inaccurate, we correct it as soon as we can and note the correction and its date on the page. We do not quietly edit and pretend the error never happened.

Australian law regulates advertising of regulated health services, and those rules apply to publishers as well as practitioners. We do not publish testimonials or patient stories; we do not publish before-and-after images; we do not use minimising language such as “safe”, “simple” or “risk-free” about surgical procedures; we do not offer discounts, time-limited offers, package deals or other inducements; and we do not target people under 18.
